Yummy Summer Tea
In the south, there’s only one kind of tea – sweet tea! And while I love partaking in this sweet southern tradition, it doesn’t exactly support me on my goals to healthy living.
We’ve all heard the benefits that come from drinking tea (unsweet tea that is!) – it contains antioxidants, great alternative to coffee, can aid in weight loss, etc. But in the dead of summer in Hotlanta, a hot cup of tea is the last thing I look forward to. So I’ve come up with a delicious ICED detox tea recipe I’ve been loving.
Why Detox Tea?
Remember those health benefits we talked about up there? That’s why! Detox tea helps cleanse the liver and kidneys which supports the maintenance of good health.
Recipe:
1 detox tea bag (I used this one)
5-6 fresh mint leaves
Handful of blueberries
Add tea bag, mint leaves and blueberries into container. Cover all ingredients with filtered water and refrigerate overnight. Enjoy!
Make it a Tizzy
Level up your tea by adding in a citrus fizz stick! This will add extra flavor plus B vitamins and chromium to help boost energy. They also contain a natural caffeine source derived from green team, guarana and ginseng!
